There's a new Minion in town!
The Maxxis Minion DHX is designed for Downhill riding and racing, with huge center knobs and strong side knobs to give you tons of grip. It's best suited for dry conditions, and can be used as either a front or rear tire. Those big blocky knobs have ramping on the front for decreased rolling resistance and a flat back for strong braking performance. Each side knob has strong bracing down the sidewall, giving a super locked in feeling in flat corners and berms.
Maxxis' new DH casing has increased puncture resistance, with a new protective liner in the sidewall and a stronger butyl insert at the bead to prevent pinch flats. It also now uses 120 TPI threads for a more supple ride and no increase in weight.
