THE STORY OF THE LOST CO

The Lost Co. is a small, independently owned and operated bike shop located in Bellingham, WA. Started in 2016 as Mister Lost's Mobile Bike Shop with a retired U-Haul truck, the mobile shop was parked at local breweries and trailheads and helped customers at the bottom of Bellingham's Galbraith Mountain trails.

In 2017, we turned our attention to e-commerce to help even more people with our expertise. Later that year, we ran out of space in the mobile shop, opened a brick-and-mortar store, retired the mobile shop, and renamed the business Mister Lost Bike Shop.

Later in 2018, we started to realize just how awesome our online business had become, and wanted to come across as a bigger operation than a small local bike shop. We hired more riders, which helped us create even more online media and help even more people than before. The business was renamed as The Lost Co, and we cranked the volume up on our videos and online business.

Fast forward to today, The Lost Co has moved into a huge new location and is known around the world for our YouTube presence and insanely good customer service. Daily, we help customers around the world source the correct parts for their bike and riding style instead of just selling stuff to make a quick buck. Our inventory has expanded quite a bit, including high-end suspension and components. We carefully choose which brands we represent and sell parts and accessories only from brands we know make quality products and offer excellent support.

We consider ourselves "The World's Local Bike Shop" with crazy good customer service, helping riders all around the world. We seriously love what we do, and seriously love bikes. MEET THE CREW!

Mike

Founder & Director of Media

Mike has been riding bikes since he started walking, and grew up riding off curbs in the Chicago suburbs. He's been wrenching on bikes since he was first hired as a mechanic in 2006 and hasn't stopped since. In 2014, Mike made the move from the Midwest to Bellingham, WA. After falling head over heels for the PNW, he realized Bellingham was the perfect place to plant his roots and opened The Lost Co in 2016. Mike is committed to building the best bike shop on Earth and is beyond grateful for every single customer who supports us.

Steve

Owner & Buyer

Whether it's riding some of the rowdiest trails in town or running the logistics of an entire systems change, Steve is totally dialed. For over five years, Steve has been our General Manager and Buyer. In 2025, he (and his wife, Mindy) took on a new title- Owner. No matter the role, Steve is a master of multi-tasking, ensuring things are running smoothly and that customers have access to the gear they need for a good time on the trails. Coming from a background in road racing, Steve is all about efficiency, and it shows through in his work!

Alex

Tech Advisor & Expert Mechanic

Alex has spent most of their life perfecting the art of bicycle mechanics and specializes in highly detailed suspension knowledge. Every technical detail that The Lost Co shares in any of our content is reviewed and approved by Alex. They're also an insanely talented rider with a specific skill of riding the gnarliest of lines while making it look incredibly easy.

Adam

Ship'n'Fulfillment Master

If you place an order from The Lost Co, chances are that Adam is the one that ships and/or fulfills your order! An Appalachian boy at heart, Adam is genuinely helpful and posesses an impressively strong knowledge of the mountain bike industry. He loves Bellingham's steep and loamy trails and is The Lost Co's four-time Monkey Bike World Champion.

Chris

Customer Service Extraordinaire

If you're looking for an experienced opinion on literally anything pertaining to bicycles, Chris is your guy! If you contact us in any way, you're likely be lucky enough to chat with Chris. Shock tunes? You got it. The pro's and con's of riding Whistler Bike Park on a Tri bike? You got it! Chris is as friendly as a Capybara, and he's a big reason why our returning customer base is so massive!

Tor

Bike and Content Shredder

Hailing from the sunny landscape of California, Tor headed north and landed here in the cloudy town of Bellingham, WA. His riding style is "PINNED" and he loves to scope out those seemingly impossible triples. He loves riding and also loves sharing his experiences with others. You can catch Tor in front of the camera or behind the keyboard, but best of luck catching him on the trail!
