Changing the stroke of the 2021+ Fox Float X2 is easily achievable with these travel spacers. With a minor disassembly of the shock, the stroke can be changed up to 7.5mm with a set of spacers and screws.
Fits all 2021+ Fox Float X2 shocks in metric sizes. These are sold individually, so you will need to purchase quantity (2) to properly reduce the stroke.
Purchasing the quantity below correlates to the amount of stroke reduction you'll get:
You must also purchase the correct Fox Shock Stroke Spacer Screws for proper fitment as the screws currently in your shock are the incorrect length for the stroke you're changing to.
INSTALLATION GUIDE: 2021+ Fox Float X2 Travel Adjustment
Changing the stroke has absolutely no effect to the performance of the shock as the Float X2 shocks are built specifically to have a relatively easy stroke change. You'll notice that the Float X2 isn't even available in all sizes, and this is because Fox created such an easy adjustment that customers can simply change the stroke as needed. However, Fox does a terrible job at marketing this to riders which is where we come in :)
These come in handy when the shock you want is sold out or not manufactured in the size you need, enabling you to order a shock of the same eye-to-eye length and simply change the stroke yourself. This also helps when purchasing a used shock that is in the same eye-to-eye length as yours but in a different stroke. Or, if you're getting a new frame that uses the same eye-to-eye length and you want to transfer your Float X2 onto the new frame, you can change the stroke to fit the new frame.
Eye-to-Eye Length | Stroke Range:
So whichever eye-to-eye length you have in the left side of the list above, the stroke can be set to any of the sizes listed in the stroke range on the right side.
*NOTE - THE LOST CO IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DAMAGE TO YOUR FRAME IF YOU OVER-STROKE YOUR REAR SHOCK IN HOPES OF ACHIEVING INCREASED REAR WHEEL TRAVEL. IF YOU ARE WANTING TO INCREASE YOUR SHOCK'S STROKE TO INCREASE YOUR FRAME'S REAR WHEEL TRAVEL, YOU MUST CONTACT YOUR FRAME MANUFACTURER TO CHECK FOR CLEARANCE AND/OR WARRANTY ISSUES.
